물의를 일으킨 연예인에는 세 종류가 있다. 첫째, 남에게 직접적인 해를 가한 경우, 둘째, 법을 어긴 경우, 셋째, 자기 파괴. 첫째와 둘째는 별로 용서가 잘 안되는 게 중론이지만 셋째는 다르다. 셋째의 경우의 연예인이 과거의 아픔을 이겨내고 남의 따가운 시선에도 아랑곳하지 않고 열심히 다시 일어서려고 하는 모습은 정말이지 아름답다. 내가 브리트니 스피어스와 이상민씨를 높게 사는 이유가 그거다.

 

올 겨울. 난 미시시피주의 잭슨시와 디트로이트를 방문할 예정이다. 다른 데도 더 갈 수 있었으면 좋겠다. 내 생애 가장 중요한 여행이 될 것 같다.
